What is the ruling on taking pills to induce lactation in order to nurse an orphaned child, who would then become a son by suckling, knowing that the milk was not a product of pregnancy? And does the child become a son by suckling? And what is the meaning of the Prophet's saying, "The lineage is insidious"? And what is your advice regarding sponsoring an abandoned orphaned child, and considering his future and his feelings when he learns of his origin?

One must ensure that milk-inducing pills do not have a negative effect on the infant, and that milk produced without marriage or pregnancy establishes mahramiyyah (prohibition of marriage), which is the view of the majority of scholars. It is stipulated that the infant must be under two years of age and must have consumed five full, satisfying breastfeeds. As for the hadith (definition) "blood is a deceiver," it is weak or fabricated. Raising orphans is among the noblest deeds, but it is not permissible to attribute a foundling to a specific person due to the mixing of lineages involved. Instead, the state can give the child a general name, and the child can be raised as a foster son through breastfeeding, and be informed that he is an orphan due to an accident or similar circumstance.
