The question

Is it permissible to speak with someone the speaker intended to exclude when swearing on the Mus'haf, and is her oath binding, and what is its expiation if she breaks her oath by speaking to all of them, knowing that her paternal aunt invoked death upon her if she did so?

The answer

A woman is not permitted to converse with non-mahram men unless there is a need, and without speaking in a soft or alluring manner. However, if the conversation is with women or mahram relatives, there is no harm in it. If you swear an oath and make an exception in your heart, then you will be held accountable for what you intended. The oath of someone under duress is not binding.
