You are not obligated to obey your father in marrying someone you do not love, and you will not be undutiful by refusing. Divorce pronounced during menstruation is valid according to the majority of scholars, and this is the most preponderant opinion. However, Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah held that it does not take effect because it is an innovated (bid'i) divorce. It is permissible to adopt the view that an innovated divorce does not take effect if your confidence in those who hold this view increases. Since you have reconciled with your wife, she has returned to your marital bond. It is advised to be patient with her and treat her well, especially since you have children, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A believing man should not hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." Homes are not built on love alone, and divorce is permissible if your purpose in staying with her is not achieved.
