Allah Almighty mentioned stones, jewels, and minerals in the Holy Quran, in addition to gold, pearls, rubies, and iron. These include: copper in Surat Ar-Rahman (55:35): "There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and [melted] copper, and you will not be able to defend yourselves." Silver in Surat Al-Insan (76:16): "vessels of silver that they have precisely determined." Sijjeel (a mixture of stone and clay) in Surat Al-Fil (105:4): "striking them with stones of sijjeel." And salsal (dry clay) in Surat Ar-Rahman (55:14): "He created man from clay like pottery." And marjan (small pearls) in Surat Ar-Rahman (55:22): "From them emerge pearls and marjan."
