Did marriages occur between Muhajireen and Ansar during the Prophetic era that can be cited to convince a girl's father of the necessity of marriage, and what is the legitimate ruling on this matter?

If a suitor is religiously committed and meets the conditions, the father should not prevent his daughter from marrying him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If someone whose religiosity and character you are pleased with proposes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Scholars have stipulated that a guardian who rejects suitable suitors without a legitimate Shar'i reason is compelled to arrange the marriage.

However, a father is often keen on his daughter's welfare, and for this reason, some scholars believe that a father's repeated refusal of suitors is not considered an act of 'adhl (unjust prevention of marriage), because he only refuses if he sees a benefit for his daughter. He is more knowledgeable about her interests and might find someone more suitable for her. The Imams, may Allah have mercy on them, were known to have prevented their daughters from marrying some of the best men when they saw a greater benefit for them in marrying others. Therefore, one can try to persuade the father, but if he continues to refuse, then one must accept that.
