Did Allah Almighty command all the believers with Moses to leave Egypt, or only the Children of Israel? And did any Egyptians believe with him?

Some Egyptians believed in Moses (peace be upon him), such as the sorcerers, Pharaoh's wife, some of Pharaoh's family, and Pharaoh's daughter's hairdresser along with her children. As for those who were commanded to depart with Moses, the apparent meaning of Ibn Kathir's and Al-Qurtubi's words is that they were only the Children of Israel, due to Allah's saying: "And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea," and His saying: "And [recall] when We parted the sea for you." Nevertheless, it is possible that others from among the Egyptians who believed in him were with them, and the mention of the Children of Israel is by way of generalization.
