What is the ruling on a husband preventing his wife from conceiving due to disputes between him and her family, and his desire to have another child from a second wife?

Bearing offspring is one of the greatest purposes of marriage in Islamic law, and it is a right for both spouses. Therefore, neither spouse is permitted to prevent the other from it without a valid excuse. Problems between the husband and the wife's family do not justify preventing procreation. The husband should be advised, and righteous people should mediate to persuade him, along with supplicating for him. It is also recommended to strive to reconcile between the husband and the wife's family to resolve the issue, as marital affinity is a blessing that should be thanked for and respected for the stability of the family and the happiness of the couple.
