What is the ruling on a husband's decision not to have children from his second wife, whom he married five years ago, despite his ability to have children, as evidenced by his ten children from his first wife, especially given that he is an Imam and a preacher? And what advice should be given to the wife?

It is not permissible for a husband to prevent his wife from having children, as procreation is a fundamental objective of marriage and a shared right of both spouses. The husband must fear Allah and not deprive his wife of this legitimate and natural right. He must fulfill her desire, especially if he is a man of faith and righteousness. We advise the wife to be patient and to seek counsel for her husband from people of knowledge.
