Is it permissible, Islamically, to perform a hymen repair surgery for a girl who lost it unknowingly, in order to preserve her honor and her family's reputation? And would that be considered deceit, bearing in mind that Islam differentiates between a virgin and a non-virgin based on the act of sexual intercourse, not on the removal of the hymen?

We have previously clarified that hymen repair is not permissible due to the resulting Shariah-prohibited harms, and this is the fundamental principle. However, there may be certain circumstances that necessitate deeming it permissible to ward off harm, such as a virgin whose hymen was ruptured by a jump or a nail, and she strongly believes that she will suffer severe harm, such as extreme abuse or death.
