What is the interpretation of "qadban" in the verse: "and grapes and qadban" in Surat 'Abasa, and is it the alfalfa plant (Hijazi clover)?

The Salaf differed on the meaning of "al-Qadb." The summary of their statements is that it is a type of fodder that is cut and then regrows. It appears that what was reported from the Salaf was by way of example, not specification, as "al-qadb" refers to any plant that is cut and then regrows, and it includes many varieties such as fodder, arugula, leeks, and mint.
