Is it permissible for fatwa websites to publish the fatwas of those who seek them and allow visitors to view them?

It is permissible, indeed commendable, to publish fatwas from websites if they contain benefit for people, as they are part of religious knowledge. This is on condition that they are transmitted faithfully and attributed to their original sources. Scholars have consistently compiled and disseminated fatwas for people to benefit from them, and no respected scholar has ever denounced this. Websites must be careful not to publish questions if their publication would harm or distress the questioner, or if the questioner requests non-publication for a valid reason.
