"Interactions between men and women are regulated by Islamic law with controls that protect both parties from falling into vice. This is achieved by women adhering to the commands regarding modesty, dignity, refraining from speaking in a soft or alluring manner, not wearing perfume when going out, and being accompanied by a mahram (definition) when traveling. Similarly, men are commanded to lower their gaze, avoid khalwa (definition) (private seclusion) with women, and guard their chastity. If both parties adhere to these controls, then there is no objection to their interaction. This applies to Muslims everywhere."
