Knowing the Beautiful Names of Allah and His Exalted Attributes achieves true knowledge of Allah, and it is the foundation of Islam and the basis of faith. Through it, faith becomes firm in the heart. Knowledge of Allah's Names and Attributes leads to worshipping Him with fear, hope, reliance, and all other acts of worship of the heart. Furthermore, acting upon this knowledge achieves monotheism (Tawhid) and freedom from polytheism (shirk), enables the servant to endure hardships and calamities with patience, fosters good expectations of Allah the Almighty, and leads to good character and safety from afflictions. In addition to all this, it motivates the servant to constantly engage in supplication and humble entreaty to Allah.
