The answer

The adhan and iqamah are not prescribed for women as they are for men. However, if a woman performs the adhan and iqamah, it is permissible for her in two situations: for a congregation of women only, or for herself individually. She must lower her voice. As for her performing the iqamah for herself or for a congregation of women, it is preferable, but if she does not perform it, the prayer is still valid.

As for a woman leading the prayer (imam), her imamate is not valid for men under any circumstances. However, it is recommended for a woman to lead women in prayer, and she should stand with them in the middle of the row.
