What does it mean if someone dies with their eyes and mouth open? Thank you.

This does not indicate anything, as it is natural for the deceased to remain with eyes and mouth open. Therefore, scholars recommended closing the eyes of the deceased and tying their jaw after the soul departs, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, when the soul is seized, the gaze follows it," and "When you attend to your dead, close the eyes." The jaw is tied so that the mouth does not remain open, disfiguring its appearance.
