Is the supplication of the oppressed, which is answered, restricted to supplicating against the oppressor, or is it absolute?

Several hadiths confirm the acceptance of the supplication of the oppressed, such as the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah," and "Three supplications are answered without a doubt: the supplication of the parent, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the oppressed."

Al-Sindi said: The answer may not appear immediately due to Allah's wisdom. Ibn 'Uthaymeen said: The supplication of the oppressed is answered even if the oppressed person is a disbeliever, out of love for justice, not for the disbeliever. The supplication is answered if the oppressed person supplicates against their oppressor to the extent of the injustice or less. If they exceed that, they become an aggressor and their supplication will not be answered.

Thus, the hadiths indicate that the acceptance is specific to their grievance and serves as a warning to the oppressor, as in the hadith: "By My might, I shall surely help you, even if after a while."
