Is it permissible to follow the news on channels where female anchors appear in un-Islamic attire, by lowering the gaze immediately after seeing them, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Do not follow a glance with another glance, for the first is permissible for you, but not the second"?

"Watching uncovered women on television is forbidden. If listening to the news requires seeing them, then one must refrain from watching. This is because a permissible matter that strongly leads to a forbidden one becomes prohibited, as mentioned by Al-Shatibi and Ibn Taymiyyah in the principle of 'blocking the means' (Sadd al-Dhara'i')."
