What is the ruling on a husband forcing his pregnant wife to abort the fetus and threatening her with divorce if she does not comply, knowing that he constantly insults her and her family and prevents her from visiting them?

It is not permissible for the husband to order his wife to have an abortion, nor is it permissible for her to obey him in that. The husband must fear Allah concerning his wife, treat her kindly, and not mistreat her or her family.

It is preferable for the wife's family not to interfere between the spouses unless the wife requests assistance due to unbearable harm. In that case, she may appoint someone to present the matter to the Sharia judge.
