How should a wife deal with her husband who forced her to have an abortion, and should she seek a divorce or stay with him for the sake of their children?

Procreation is a shared right between spouses, and a husband does not have the right to force his wife to abort. The ruling on abortion varies depending on the duration of the pregnancy: before forty days, there is a difference of opinion; after that, up to 120 days, it is not permissible except for an overriding benefit; and after the ensoulment, it is not permissible unless the continuation of the fetus poses a real danger to the mother's life. Abortion due to fear of poverty or inability to bear expenses is forbidden because it implies a poor opinion of Allah. If the husband repents and regrets forcing his wife to abort, he should be forgiven, and it is not permissible for the wife to seek divorce except for a legitimate religious excuse.
