What are the good deeds and sayings that will be weighty on the Scale on the Day of Judgment, and by which a servant will be saved, along with their legitimate proofs?

Every good deed is placed on the scale, making the pan of good deeds heavier, and every evil deed makes the pan of evil deeds heavier. Allah does not wrong even an atom's weight.

The greatest things that make the scale heavy in the sight of Allah are performing the obligatory duties and obligations, then drawing near [to Allah] through supererogatory acts that are similar to the obligatory ones and complement them, such as the regular [Sunnah] prayers and voluntary fasting.

Among the deeds that make the scale heavy are: 1. Remembrance of Allah: such as saying "Subhan Allah wa bihamdih, Subhan Allah al-Azim" (Glory be to Allah and with His praise, Glory be to Allah, the Most Great). 2. The word of Tawhid (Oneness of Allah): "Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh" (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger). 3. The five great statements: "La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah), wa Allahu akbar (and Allah is the Greatest), wa Subhan Allah (and Glory be to Allah), wa al-hamdulillah (and praise be to Allah), and a righteous child who dies and whose parents bear it patiently for Allah's sake." 4. Good character and long silence. 5. Following a funeral procession until the prayer is offered over the deceased and it is concluded, for which there are two qirats, or until the prayer is offered, for which there is one qirat. This is heavier on the scale than [Mount] Uhud.
