What is the ruling on the Supreme Judicial Council compelling young people to assume judicial positions?

Assuming the role of a Sharia judge is, in principle, a communal obligation (fard kifaya). However, it may become an individual obligation (fard ayn) for a specific person, in which case they must assume it if requested. Indeed, they should even seek it. If they refuse, the ruler (wali al-amr) may compel them, especially if they meet the conditions for judgeship and no one else does.
