What is the reason for the questioner's cessation of commitment to prayer, after she became convinced of the ruling on one who abandons it out of laziness, and with obstacles (illness or a problem) preventing her from starting it? And does that have a connection to Satan?

Prayer is the greatest obligation in Islam after the two Shahadas, and abandoning it is disbelief. One must hasten to perform it immediately, without excuses, as it takes only a few minutes. For a person to approach prayer, they need sincere faith in its obligation and in the threat against those who abandon it. To overcome the illusion of being unable to pray, one should start immediately. As soon as this answer is read, one should perform ablution and pray the current obligatory prayer, and so on with every prayer. One must reflect on Allah's blessings and the obligation to thank Him by performing prayer. Sins are veils between the servant and their Lord, therefore, one must repent and cease committing sins. Satan strives to distance a person from prayer, but his plotting is weak against the people of faith.

The questioner must do three things: hasten to perform prayer, strengthen her faith, and abandon sins and repent from them, in addition to seeking refuge with Allah and asking Him for guidance.
