Why did the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, go to Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, on a day that was not her turn, while he did not shake hands with Zaynab, seeking to please Aisha? And is this considered a bias? And why did the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, side with Aisha instead of appeasing his other wives who came demanding justice?

A Muslim must think well of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for he used to deal justly among his wives in the division of stay, to the extent that some scholars believe that this was not obligatory upon him. The hadith which states: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to me on a day that was not my turn and sought intimacy" is weak, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to visit his wives every day.

As for the hadith about Zainab coming to 'Aisha's house and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stopping himself from reaching out to her, it was because it was 'Aisha's turn, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not touch Zainab because 'Aisha did not give permission, and he had thought it was 'Aisha due to the lack of lighting at that time.

Regarding the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, requesting justice in gifts, their intention was that people should not single out 'Aisha's day for giving gifts, and this is not something in which justice can be applied. Love is not in a person's control, and gifts are not demanded from the giver, nor is a specific time set for them.

The Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, statement: "She is the daughter of Abu Bakr," was not a stance with 'Aisha against Zainab, but rather praise for her not initiating the dispute and her patience until Zainab's transgression became apparent. Thus, 'Aisha was victorious through her intelligence and strength of mind.
