Is it permissible to say: "Let the boy come so we can pray upon the Prophet"?

This proverb is used when preferring to wait for the opportune time to judge things. Its origin in Levantine proverbs tells of a man who was not blessed with children, and when his wife became pregnant, someone said: "Only when the boy arrives will we send blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him." This proverb is criticized for conditioning the sending of blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, for blessings should have been sent upon him whenever he was mentioned, without condition, due to his saying, peace be upon him: "The miser is he before whom I am mentioned, and he does not send blessings upon me," and "May his nose be rubbed in the dust, a man before whom I am mentioned, and he does not send blessings upon me." It is better to replace this proverb with another suitable phrase.
