Is a veterinarian required to pay Zakat on the capital of a pharmacy fully owned by the sponsor, given that he pays Zakat on his share of the profits?

Scholars differed regarding the zakat on Mudarabah funds, and the preponderant opinion is that it is due on the profit, which is the view of the Shafi'is and Hanbalis. Zakat is extracted from the profit because it serves as a protection for the capital, and this is the soundest view according to the Shafi'is.
