Is it permissible to entrust worries [to God] and say: "O Creator of comfort, I entrust my affairs to You, and I deposit my worries with You, so give me good tidings that will open the entrances of happiness in my heart"?

This mentioned supplication, "I entrust my worry to You," is not authentically transmitted, and it should not be uttered; because worry should be sought to be removed and dispelled, not preserved. When something is entrusted to Allah, He preserves it. The servant should adhere to theations for dispelling worry and distress that are authentically reported from the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him.
