Is it permissible to burn books that discuss heretical sects and cause confusion among people?

It is not legislated to burn books that conform to the truth, due to the corruption and waste of wealth involved, and the deprivation of those who benefit from their knowledge. As for books containing innovations (bid'ah) and misguidance, their destruction by burning or other means is deemed appropriate, lest the ignorant be deceived by them.
