It is permissible for an heir to be included in a general bequest ( ammah) based on descriptions rather than specific individuals. So, if the bequest is for specific descriptions, such as the poor or students of knowledge, it is permissible for an heir who fits this description to receive from it. However, if the general bequest is for specific individuals, such as relatives, then the heirs are not included in it.
