What is the ruling on the practice of Tawarruq with AlAhli Bank Britania for purchasing a car in installments?

What you did—purchasing palladium metal from the bank on a murabaha basis to obtain money and buy a car for your brother—is a "Tawaruq transaction." Its meaning is that the buyer does not intend to benefit from the commodity itself, but rather to acquire cash. This transaction is permissible according to the preponderant opinion of scholars, as there is no text prohibiting it. Some scholars stipulated that its permissibility depends on an urgent need for money, but the correct view is its absolute permissibility, as stated in "Al-Rawd Al-Murbi‘" and "Al-Insaf," where it is affirmed as the madhhab (definition) (school of thought's position) and the view held by the companions of the school.
