What is the ruling on my discontinuation of prayer for four menstrual cycles (each lasting 10 days) after a miscarriage in the first month, given that the 'alaqah (clot/congealed blood) was not expelled until four months later, after using traditional medicine?

Aborting a fetus is forbidden except in cases of certain harm to the mother's life or the death of the fetus.

The questioner must make up the prayers she missed, because the blood she saw during her pregnancy is blood of illness and corruption. Many scholars hold that a pregnant woman does not menstruate, and menstruation serves as a confirmation of non-pregnancy.

Although some schools of thought permit a pregnant woman to menstruate, it is more prudent to err on the side of caution, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt."
