What is the ruling on the fasting and prayer of a woman who experienced a miscarriage bleeding after 15 days of its onset, believing it to be menstrual blood?

The blood of an unformed miscarriage is not considered postpartum bleeding (nifas), according to the more correct opinion. The blood discharged is either menstruation (hayd) or irregular bleeding (istihada). If it is irregular bleeding, then one must fast and pray, performing ablution for each prayer and cleaning the site of the blood. As for the prayers or fasts missed during the initial period of irregular bleeding, it is preferable to make them up as a precaution. However, if they are not made up, it is hoped that there is no sin upon you, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not command Hamnah bint Jahsh to make up the prayers she missed.
