Is blood discharged due to a possible miscarriage considered to invalidate fasting and prayer?

We clarified in Fatwa no. 110241 that this blood is istihaadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding), according to the more authoritative opinion. Therefore, it does not affect the validity of prayer or fasting. It is obligatory to secure a cloth over the area, perform ablution after the entry of the time for each prayer, and pray both obligatory and supererogatory prayers with that ablution until the time expires, unless another nullifier of ablution occurs.
