What is the ruling of the Sharia and what is the appropriate guidance in dealing with a wife who curses, insults, and beats her husband and his parents, while the husband still wishes to preserve his family and children and show kindness to his wife, despite his repeated attempts to de-escalate the situations? And is it permissible for the husband to endure this harm out of mercy for his children and a desire to prevent the family from disintegrating?

We advise you to explain to your wife what Allah has made obligatory upon her regarding the husband's rights. You should also employ legitimate means of reform with her, such as admonition, forsaking her in bed, and non-violent physical discipline. If she then treats you kindly, that is what is desired. But if she insists on her current behavior, then weigh the benefit of being patient with her for the sake of achieving greater good against the benefit of separating from her to avoid harm and humiliation. Then prioritize the higher benefit.
