What is the ruling on taking eggs laid by a dove on an external air-conditioning unit within the boundaries of the Haram and destroying them or eating them?

One of the honors of Makkah is that its game is forbidden to hunt, and whoever kills game within its bounds is liable for a penalty. Scholars have differed regarding the penalty for the eggs of the Haram doves. Malik held that it entails a tenth of the mother's blood money (a sheep), while Shafi'i said that its value should be paid. Therefore, the man who destroyed the egg of a Haram dove must repent and seek forgiveness if he did so intentionally. In addition, he must pay the penalty: a tenth of the value of a sheep in food, or its equivalent in fasting (one day for each mudd). This is Malik's view and it is the more cautious one. It is forbidden to eat these eggs if they were broken or taken lawfully for this purpose.
