Are the hadiths narrated by the Companions before their conversion to Islam accepted?

The stages of narrating a hadith can be summarized into two: The first stage (endurance/reception) does not require Islam. This involves hearing the news or witnessing an event. What suffices here is understanding and discernment, making the endurance of hadith by minors and disbelievers valid. As for the second stage (performance/transmission), which involves the narrator informing and transmitting to others, Islam is a condition for this stage. This is because a disbeliever denies the truth and is not trusted not to lie. Consensus has been narrated on the impermissibility of accepting their narration.
