Is the narration of a trustworthy or truthful narrator accepted if he explicitly states hearing from a Companion from whom he is not known to have heard, and is his narration considered continuous with no قطع (discontinuation)?

If a trustworthy narrator contemporary to a Companion explicitly states that he received a حديث (Prophetic tradition) directly from him, his narration is accepted if that is established from him, and contemporaneity is sufficient for establishing connection. Thus, every trustworthy man who narrated a hadith from another trustworthy man, and they were in the same era, then the narration is sound and the argument derived from it is binding, unless there is clear evidence of them not having met or heard from each other.
