Is it permissible to perform Salat while having a scalp treatment for baldness containing 5% alcohol?

A small percentage of alcohol in medicines does not render them unlawful nor does it necessitate their impurity, because the alcohol is consumed and leaves no trace. The prohibition is related to intoxication, and if intoxication is absent, the prohibition is absent. It is permissible to use Khamr (definition) (wine/alcohol) for medicinal purposes if it is consumed and no pure alternative is available. Islamic Fiqh academies have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of using medicines that contain consumed percentages of alcohol, provided they are prescribed by a trustworthy physician, while recommending avoiding alcohol in medicines whenever possible.
