Is a man's wearing of women's underwear (bottoms) considered imitation of women?

A man wearing women's clothing is a forbidden imitation, and its perpetrator is cursed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, according to his saying: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the man who wears women's clothing and the woman who wears men's clothing." Therefore, one must repent to Allah by immediately ceasing this act, regretting what has passed, and resolving not to return to it.
