What is the meaning of: "humbling oneself and submitting to Allah"? And how is it done?

Humility to Allah and submission to Him have similar meanings. Humility is showing one's inability to resist the one to whom one humbles oneself, and bringing the self into a state of lowliness. Submission is obedience, compliance, and modesty. Both combine showing one's helplessness before His might, may He be glorified, and acknowledging one's inability to do without Him, along with obedience, humility, and modesty towards Him, and accepting and obeying His command.
