Is delaying going to the mosque until the prayer is established, in order to avoid social phobia and ensure devotion, considered a sin?
There is no sin on someone who is late for prayer until the time of the iqamah, but it is better for a Muslim to hasten to the mosque to attain the virtue of waiting for the prayer and to be in the first row; due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If the people knew what was in the call (to prayer) and the first row, and they found no way to get it except by drawing lots, they would draw lots for it."
