The answer

The for one who comes to prayer is to walk with tranquility and dignity, and it is disliked for him to rush or run, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: (When you hear the , walk to the prayer, and عليكم بالسكينة والوقار [you must observe tranquility and dignity], and do not rush. Whatever you catch, pray, and whatever you miss, complete it). If one fears missing the congregational prayer, it is permissible for him to hasten slightly to catch its virtue, and this is what Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and some scholars chose, because missing the congregation cannot be compensated.
