Does one need to make up the expiation for every day one broke their fast by masturbating in Ramadan out of ignorance, or is a single expiation sufficient, according to the Maliki school of thought?

The practice of masturbation is absolutely forbidden (haram). Whoever performs it during the day in Ramadan to the point of ejaculation has invalidated their fast and must make up for that day, along with repentance and seeking forgiveness. According to the Maliki school, expiation (kaffara) is required if the person was aware of its prohibition and violated the sanctity of the month. However, if they were unaware of its prohibition, then no expiation is required; they only need to seek forgiveness, repent, and make up for the invalidated days.
