Is the feeling of shame when supplicating to Allah, and lowering the head instead of raising the hands during prayer, acceptable or not?

Supplication (Du'a) is a great act of worship that Allah loves and to which He responds for those who call upon Him. Among the recommended manners of supplication is raising the hands, as it signifies the servant's humility and dependence. Allah the Exalted is too modest to turn away His servant empty-handed when he raises his hands to Him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, emphasized the importance of certainty in receiving a response when supplicating. If shyness and modesty during supplication arise from a feeling of humility and brokenness before Allah the Exalted, then this is an elevated status indicating the glorification and veneration of Allah. Such a heart is closer to Allah's mending, help, and mercy.
