What is the ruling on wearing a ring in the nose or lips, or a ring on a man's finger?

It is permissible for a woman to wear rings on her fingers and toes. It is disliked for a man to wear rings on his index finger and middle finger, and it is even more disliked for him to wear them on his toes. As for nose piercing, there are two opinions: The first considers it absolutely forbidden for both men and women, due to the absence of any recognized adornment in it. The second permits it for women if it is customary adornment in the Muslim society, without causing harm or resembling non-Muslims.
