Is it permissible to lie on personal data (such as experience and place of residence) for the purpose of obtaining a job, and what is the ruling on money earned from work if it was obtained through lying?

Lying is forbidden, and it is not permissible to use it as a means to obtain employment. Allah has guaranteed the sustenance of every living creature, and what is with Him can only be attained through obedience to Him. It is advised to repent from every lie or sin, and to speak the truth regarding qualifications and experiences when seeking employment. Remember the words of Allah Almighty: (And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him). Increasing in seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) brings sustenance and expiates sins, as Allah Almighty said: (And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [copious] showers). Piety is essential, and remember that what is with Allah can only be attained through obedience to Him. "Indeed, you will not abandon something for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, except that Allah will replace it with something better for you."
