The Islamic Sharia commanded the upholding of kinship ties, even with those who sever them or mistreat others, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "If you are as you say, then it is as if you are feeding them hot ashes, and you will continue to have a supporter from Allah against them as long as you remain in that state." There is no specific method or time for upholding kinship ties; rather, it is determined by custom. If visiting the grandmother causes harm, then she can be connected with through another means, such as calling. However, it is recommended to continuously visit her, show her kindness, and treat her well, ignoring mockery, facing it with patience and wisdom, gently clarifying the truth, and supplicating for their guidance.
