What are the details of the Battle of Armageddon as mentioned in the book “ʿUmr Ummat al-Islām”?

"Armageddon" is a battle awaited by Christians, mentioned in their writings. It is a Hebrew word meaning "Mount Megiddo," which is a valley in Palestine. Some of their priests believe in its imminent occurrence in the Valley of Megiddo. Christians believe that this battle will be the culmination of human history and will be crowned by the return of Christ. The authentic Sunnah of the Prophet mentions what supports the occurrence of a major battle between Muslims and the Byzantines (Christians). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You will make a secure peace treaty with the Byzantines, then you and they will fight an enemy behind them… Then you will encamp in a hilly meadow. A man from the Byzantines will stand up, raise the cross and say: 'The cross has prevailed!' A man from the Muslims will stand up and kill him. Then the Byzantines will betray you, and great battles will ensue. They will gather against you with eighty banners, each banner with twelve thousand men." Muslim also narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Hour will not be established until the Byzantines encamp at al-A'maq or Dabiq. Then an army from Medina, comprising the best people on earth at that time, will go out to them… Then they will conquer Constantinople." Christians believe that this battle will take place in the autumn of 2001, while the Prophet's Sunnah did not specify a time for it.
