How is a father's inheritance distributed, and what is the ruling on a son demanding a sum of money for his marriage preparations and the cost of Hajj which the father did not request, knowing that the father's balance is 75,000 pounds and a plot of land, and that the son is financially capable and refuses to marry?

The money left by the father is the right of all his heirs, male and female, as Allah the Almighty says: "For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much - an obligatory share." It is not permissible to deny daughters their share on the pretext that they have a salary, nor is a son entitled to appropriate any part of the inheritance for himself due to his need for marriage. As for the cost of the father's Hajj, which the brother paid, he has the right to claim it unless it is proven that it was a donation. The mother's share is one-eighth due to the existence of a lineal descendant heir, and the children take the remainder, "for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." It is advised to consult the Sharia court and be keen on justice and giving everyone their due right.
