Ethyl alcohol is the main component in alcoholic beverages and is responsible for their intoxicating effect. A portion of it is absorbed in the stomach and small intestines, then travels through the liver to be converted into other substances. What exceeds the liver's capacity enters the bloodstream and reaches the lungs and brain, and its effect on the brain is forensically significant. Therefore, it is not permissible to use perfumes containing ethyl alcohol.
