What should I do with a paper that has talismans written on it?

The paper you found, whose contents are unknown to you, may contain magical talismans or polytheistic incantations, both of which are types of magic (sihr). Al-Shanqeeti mentioned in his book "Rushd Al-Ghafil" that among the types of magic are "talismans," which are engravings of special names related to celestial spheres and planets, and "incantations," where they claim that each type of angel has names which, when invoked, will obey. If this is the case, then this paper must be disposed of by destroying it, by burning it or other similar means, for that will nullify whatever is in it, if it is indeed magic, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did, and as mentioned by the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas and Ibn Baz. A Muslim can protect himself from magic by regularly observing the prescribed morning and evening supplications (adhkar) and by seeking refuge in Allah Almighty.
